Meet Our Team
Yvonne Murray, Managing Director - experienced in economic development, lending, small business/start-up assistance, and public administration and management. She comes to 58 INC. after having spent a decade at the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham operating their Community Development Finance Institution loan fund – VentureSouth. She received both her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional, a graduate of the Brookings Institution’s Coach Development Program for executive coaching, a graduate of the International City-County Management Association’s intensive Leadership ICMA Program, and holds a Certificate in Public Leadership from the Brookings Institution. Yvonne resides in Helena, Alabama with her husband and daughter.
Melody Whitten, Director of Development - experienced in economic development, workforce development, retail recruiting, and development. She comes to 58 INC. after serving with the Alabama Department of Commerce Workforce Development Division as a liaison and resource to a 19 county region. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Jacksonville State University. She graduated from Auburn University's Intensive Economic Development Course. Melody comes to Shelby County from the Guntersville, Alabama area, but she originally hails from Oxford, Alabama. She now resides in the Inverness area of unincorporated Shelby County with her husband.
Jackson Pruett, Senior Project Manager- experienced in industrial recruitment, business retention and expansion, and workforce development. He comes to 58 INC. after serving as Vice President of Business Development and Support at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Project Manager at The Shelby County Economic and Industrial Development Authority. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Auburn University. Jackson is a graduate of the Auburn University Government & Economic Development Institute and The University of Alabama Economic Development Academy. He was also selected for The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Business Leads Education & Workforce Fellowship in 2019. Jackson resides in Pelham, Alabama with his wife.
